Pastor Josh and his wife Melanie felt the call to plant Tidal Creek Church in 2021. They moved to Shallotte in November of 2021 in order to begin the process of planting Tidal Creek. Pastor Josh has been in ministry for over 20 years serving as a youth, interim, and lead pastor in 5 churches located in 3 states. Pastor Josh and Melanie were married in 2008 and have two wonderful children, David and Alexis. Pastor Josh enjoys watching all sports and playing golf whenever his schedule allows. As a family, they enjoy all things Disney, traveling, and exploring all the different putt-putt courses this area has to offer!

As the Mission Catalyst of Tidal Creek, Pastor Josh provides vision, oversight, resourcing, and direction to ensure that the church remains outward focused and on mission. This including ensuring worship is Spirit-led, God-focused, and Jesus-centered; the Word of God is clearly, boldly, and faithfully preached; and people are equipped to accomplish the mission of the church as given by Jesus in the Great Commission.

Jonathan, as the Discipleship Catalyst of Tidal Creek Church, provides oversight, resourcing, and direction to the disciple-making activities of the church. This includes ensuring disciples are being formed in the church, as well as, multiplied outside of it. He also helps to identify, train, and unleash potential leaders; organize, schedule, and fill new discipleship groups; and oversees, evaluates, and moved the Tidal Creek discipleship model forward.

Matthew 4:19

Tessie, as the Stewardship Catalyst of Tidal Creek, provides oversight, resourcing, and direction to the proper stewardship of the resources of the church. This includes ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner, helping to develop a realistic, and decidedly mission focused budget, and guaranteeing the 10% "Here, There, and Everywhere" commitment is met. She also develops, maintains, and oversees a facility usage calendar.

2 Corinthians 9:6-15, Matthew 22:21

Tom, as the Community Catalyst of Tidal Creek, provides leadership, resourcing, and direction for the external ministry activities of the church. This includes serving as the connection point for our community partners, ensuring dates for church involved community events are on the church calendar, and identifying new external ministry opportunities. He also strategizes and implements a system for procuring funds for benevolence support ministry by the church.

Acts 2:42-47

Joyce, as the Ministry Catalyst of Tidal Creek, provides oversight, resourcing, and direction to the internal ministry activities of the church. This includes ensuring proper staffing, equipment, and supplies are in place for successful completion of ministry activities. They will also assist in identifying, training, and deploying new volunteers and ministry leaders throughout the church.
