Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Tidal Creek Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Jesus Christ
Jesus is fully God and fully man. He was conceived of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, suffered under Pontius Pilate and died on the Cross as payment for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day before ascending into heaven where he intercedes for us until His second coming.
Revelation
God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the Holy Scriptures, and through all of creation itself.
Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.
The Fall
When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone. God draws us to Himself but the decision to respond is ours. Each individual must repent from sin and trust Christ to receive forgiveness from sin and eternal life.
Sanctification
As Christians we need to offer our whole lives to God so that he might cleanse our hearts from the attitude of Sin. When we surrender ourselves to God completely, His Spirit can fully mold us into Christ-likeness; His perfect love is reflected in our attitudes and actions; and God empowers us to live more abundantly.
The Church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. As the Church we are called to practice the sacraments of baptism and the Lord's Supper.
Resurrection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
End Times
Jesus is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.

Core Values

The Core Values of Tidal Creek Church represent how we believe that Jesus, through the work of the Holy Spirit transforms the life of the believe as we practice our faith in our everyday lives. Each one of the core values flows out of a radical vision to live as Jesus calls us to through His life, death, and resurrection by being a servant of all.
Below there are descriptions for each of these core values that provides more insight into how we seek to live these out.
Below there are descriptions for each of these core values that provides more insight into how we seek to live these out.
Jesus Over Everything
We want to follow Jesus in everything we do and say. There is no one and nothing that is more important to Tidal Creek than Jesus. He sets the path and we follow Him whether its the way we'd like to do it or not.
Generous Living
We never want to be distracted by what we don’t have or what we could do if we just had a little more. Instead, we aim to live generously with what God has given us. One of the ways we do this is by allocating at least 10% of everything that comes in to our “Here, There, and Everywhere Fund”. This fund is used to support kingdom minded people and organizations which are already working to spread the Gospel in our community and around the world.
Agressive Faith
We want to be aggressive in following Jesus. There is often a line between taking a step of faith and acting in stupidity. We want to get as close as we can to that line without crossing it.
Everyone's Welcome
Often times the biggest factor that keeps people from coming to church is whether or not they belong or will be accepted. We want to take those fears away by encouraging you to ask yourself a different question, “Am I a person who has been created by God?” We’ll even give you the answer, “Yes you are!” Which means you have a place and belong at Tidal Creek!
Transparent Authenticity
The church should be the safest place to bring your difficulties, circumstances, questions, and anything else, but sadly it often isn't. We want to be a community that is honest, transparent, and vulnerable with each other so that everyone can feel safe coming no matter what may be going on in their lives.
Biblical Guidance
We stand on the truth of God’s Word. We can’t ignore the parts we don’t like or that make us uncomfortable. We try to look at the teaching of Scripture as a whole on each topic and embrace what we find no matter what. We will use Scripture as our guide in every area of life and we won’t compromise the truth.
Jesus Over Everything
No this isn’t a typo, this one is supposed to be here twice. Despite our best efforts, when we get moving and going we can sometimes lose sight of Jesus and drift from the path He has set for us. That’s why for everything we do we both start and end with Jesus to ensure we didn’t drift and lose Him through the planning process. If we are separated from Jesus we have nothing so we need to be sure we are staying connected to Him.
